Union Bay Label specializes in both short-run and long-run label and film projects, printing up to 10 colors. We are unique in that we are both a flexographic printer with in-line laminating capabilities up to 22" wide, and an importer with well-established, long term partnerships for rotogravure printing. We are also one of very few companies worldwide who can demetalize film. Established in 1938, we are a family owned and operated business. Our converting capabilities include:

Our expert press operators and specialized equipment allow us to convert a wide variety of materials, including paper, film, foil, cellophane, polypropylene, Mylar ^TM, Tyvek ^TM, vinyl and polyolefins, and more. EQUIPMENT:

We have a 54,000 foot production facility that houses an 11 color, fully automated Comco film printing press as well as three eight-color presses and 12 bag making machines.

At Union Bay Label we use a shop floor data-collection system that provides real-time data about every job in our system and its current status. This helps us to keep a most accurate account of your order while it is in process.

Our prepress area is complete with high speed PowerMac workstations, a PowerMac scanning and archiving station, scanners, and laser printers to ensure that the art we receive from you or produce ourselves will meet or beat your expectations. With an Esko digital laser platemaker, we are prepared to take the designs straight to print!

In our press area we have one 8 color press with UV Curing with 7" width, one 8 color press with UV Curing with 10" width, and one 8 color press with UV Curing with 13" width. We have 3 computer controlled Video Web Inspection Units, one on each of the 8 color presses. Our press area is complete with a Corona Treating unit for superior printing on films, hot-foil stamping and embossing presses, and direct-thermal/Thermal-transfer variable information printers.

Our finishing department contains three Web-techniques Strobe-mounted rewind tables , one 16" Vertical rewind system for high capacity, and 2 Semi-Automatic shrink wrap systems with heat tunnel.
